Job Description

Main mission: Ensure the supply of the requested quantity and quality of materials required for the mill of Hunedoara according to the Purchasing strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Main activities and responsibility:

  • Support the mill in its TCO/VIU approach to material needs

  • Assess the local/external market, repartition the needs to different suppliers, negotiate the best terms & conditions, ensure delivery of correct quality & quantity

  • Play an active role in aligning all stakeholders to the strategy

  • Manage emergencies

  • Track and follow-up orders and deliveries

  • Evaluate suppliers and propose areas for improvement

  • Ensure compliance

  • Manage the supplier portfolio for the perimeter

  • Collaborate with European Purchasing Organization to coordinate the buying strategy within EU

  • Carry out benchmarking exercises to bring best practices to Hunedoara

Skill & Experience

  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and effective communication skills

  • Rigor, autonomy, results orientation, proactive approach

  • Ability and willingness to be on the field to execute the strategy

  • Education, Graduate with Higher Education

  • Strong integrity, high stress-pressure resistance

  • Languages: 1. Romanian 2. English

  • Advanced knowledge of Office IT tools – Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Internet Explorer

  • Knowledge and usage of SAP – will be an added advantage

  • Ability to process information, interpret and capitalize on it by providing processed data to decision-makers;

  • Communication and negotiation ability;

  • Experience: 5 to 10 years experience (preferably Industrial/Manufacturing)

  • Collaborate with the other departments of the company
